Wrapping an Audio Cable
Wrapping an audio cable seems like an easy task. You have seen people wrap hundreds if not thousands of cables. It involves a little finesse, and a whole lot of repetition. They can also be wrapped left or right handed; the theory is the same.
I want to assure you that if you do not get this right the first time, or even the first 100 times, it’s ok! It takes a while for the muscle memory to click, and as soon as it does, you will be able to wrap easily, without even looking, and probably faster than me (if you practice!)
It is recommended to wear some type of set gloves when you are wrapping cables on set. Let’s face it, sets are extremely dirty and exterior location work in downtown areas are even worse. Use gloves and wash your hands regularly.
