Digital script supervising offers many options. Here’s a list of some software options:
You can use a computer or iPad, but if you’d like to have a monitor feed on your device, a laptop is the way to go (unless you use a wireless monitor feed such as VUER). Alternatively, you can take photos on your iPad of the monitor to incorporate into your notes.
Here are the basics you’ll need to get a monitor feed on your computer:
- Charging cable
- Extension cord (optional)
- Black Magic Mini Recorder
- BNC cables
- Thunderbolt cable
- Switcher box (for multi-camera projects)
An easy-to-use, affordable, as well as durable stand, like a conductor stand. As mentioned in the handwritten lesson, it’s a durable, lightweight, and convenient desk option. I put velcro on the back of a small pouch that’s attached to the lip of the stand which contains my charging cable.
Once you decide to make the transition from handwritten to digital, replace your binder with your computer. Get a case you can put velcro on, and make sure it’s secure. I use industrial strength velcro.
