This year at the Sound Summit, Lectrosonics released a new version of the rackmount received called the DSQD. It is a Half Rack Receiver with analog and digital audio outputs and utilizes Lectrosonics’ signature digital architecture with remarkable audio quality and ultra-low latency. The DSQD receiver includes an extended operating range rivaling the best analog and Digital Hybrid Wireless® systems with continuously tunable tracking filters covering 470.100 – 614.375 MHz.
The DSQD has identical features when it comes to the back of the unit as the original dante version. However, instead of dante, it has AES outputs. This allows a clean output of 24bit 48kHz Digital Audio to your mixer or recorder. This allows the cleanest connection of your audio to the mixer or recorder possible. This makes is compatible with all of their digital and digital hybrid transmitters. The DSQD offers 3 Different Diversity Reciever Modes as well as AES 256-bit, CTR Mode encryption.
Interfacing to Wireless Designer or third-party software via the standard USB port, greatly acceler-ating setup time and expanding system monitoring capabilities.
The DSQD allows you to monitor any individual audio channel or even a stereo mix between pairs. Just pop out the Volume Knob on the front panel and connect your headphones.
LCD Control Panel
Easy navigation of all setup parameters is provided by a full color, backlit, LCD screen and membrane push buttons. The high-resolution display provides fantastic monitoring of all receiver parameters.
The DSQD has a quick syncing feature for quick operation. It sends encryption keys to transmitters with the push of a button to make pairing and security a breeze.
It allows you to receive 4 channels of digital audio, monitor directly, and even attach external antennas for an increase in range. The receiver is compatible with the D2, DSW, and Digital Hybrid Wireless transmitters.
Antenna ports on the rear panel accept input from remote antennas, with a “loop-thru” output to another mainframe using the internal multicoupler. A kit is also available to mount antenna inputs (BNC connectors) on the front panel. There is a built-in wideband antenna multi coupler with loop-thru for additional receivers that allows the system to be scalable and even an option kit to put the antenna ports in the front of the unit if necessary.
Two LEDs provide a positive indication of antenna bias power state. It will glow when your RF is overloading due to transmitters being too close.
