I am a film student who will be graduating soon. I took this class on recommendation from one of mentors and it was a very useful course. It teaches you everything that film school and textbooks don’t teach about sound utilities. This course gave me a great general overview of both the job’s duties and a feeling of what it means to be a professional sound utility. I greatly appreciate the time spent to make this learning opportunity available. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is considering perusing this occupation. I know that this class has made me more certain about wanting to become a sound utility.

A great inside look as to what it’s like working on large productions and set etiquette. Even if you don’t intend to work on movies, much of the info applies to smaller productions as well.

As someone who’s recently made a career move into production sound, I found this class to be such an amazing resource, both for it’s breadth and specificity. I imagine I’ll return to it many times as I gain new experience and insights. Thanks!
